Irish Association of Funeral Directors

The Irish Association of Funeral Directors (IAFD):
 

  • Is the only professional association for Funeral Directors throughout Ireland, having been established in 1979
     
  • Is responsible, through its members, for approximately 75% of all funerals conducted in Ireland.
     
  • Has established a Code of Practice which must be followed by all of its members and which underpins the Customer Care Charter.
     
  • Promotes the professionalism of member Funeral Directors through programmes of education and training and the development of a Professional Practice Handbook.
     
  • Acts upon every complaint received in respect of member Funeral Directors.

The Customer Care Charter is a gaurantee to you, the customer, that a Funeral Director has adopted the IAFD standards of professional service, organisation and practice.
