Customer Care Charter
Funeral Directors who are members of the Irish Association of Funera Directors (IAFD) seek to provide at all times the best possible service to you, the customer.
The Customer Care Charter provides you with four important commitments from Funeral Directors who are members of the IAFD:
- Professionalism and Quality of Service in arranging and conducting the chosen funeral.
- Delivering High Standards of Competence and Conduct.
- Serving Your Best Interests as the Customer.
- Integrity and Openness in helping you to make decisions about every aspect of the funeral being arranged, including its cost and payment.
- Leaving You in Control of Decisions.
- Agreeing Charges for the Funeral Director's Services.
- Agreeing Disbursements (i.e., Third-Party Charges).
- Respecting Accurately Services and Prices in All Advertising.
- Sensitivity and Confidentially in respect of every request and detail in providing for the wishes of the deceased and the bereaved.
- Arranging a Funeral to Your Chosen and Exact Specifications.
- Working in Strictest Confidence on Your Behalf Before, During and After the Funeral.
- Redress In the event of any problem which might arise in the course of a funeral.
- If your have aproblem eith funeral arrangements, the first thing to do is to bring it to the immediate attention of your Funeral Director.
- If your Funeral Director cannot resolve the matter to your satisfaction, you shoukd write to the National Secretary of the IAFD.
- The IAFD undertakes to investigate, in the strictest confidence, every complaint recieved, to seek a satrisfactory resolution, and try to respond fully in writing within thirty days.
