SMITH (Mulhuddart, Clonsilla, Dublin 15 and formerly of Infirmary Road, Dublin 7) March 29th 2020 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Jimmy, beloved husband of the late Margaret, dear father of Brian, Lisa, Barry, Helena, James, Linda, Sean, Celine and Sabrina and brother of David, Joan and the late Brian and Mick. Jimmy will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, brother, sister, grandchildren, great-grandson, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Due to Government advice and restrictions regarding public gatherings and to protect our most vulnerable family members and our friends, a private family funeral will take place.

We look forward to meeting everyone at a Memorial Service for Jimmy where we will honour his life at a later date.

Those who would have liked to attend Jimmy’s funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot, can leave your personal messages for the family below “Condolences” or on

<p>Very sorry to hear about jimmy. He was a hard working decent oul skin. I remember him as a kid he used to sit on the wall in Woodvale having a rest from the papers and talking to us bout the Gaa and give us good slagging. He was was gas man. May he rest in peace . Bootsy</p>

<p>To say we lost a gentleman from our neighbourhood would be an understatement.Jimmy was our local paperman a joker and an pleasure to say I grew up knowing him.His love for his family was truly unconditional and a husband that you don&#8217;t come across very often.His children are a credit to him and Margeret and although I know they are all broken hearted I hope they feel comfort in knowing they are together again.Look over all your family Jimmy especially Celine she will need your guidance.
