Renee Prendergast

I will always remember Peader from our days as students in Galway. Peader wasn’t the most diligent student but he was incredibly smart and when he appeared at the odd lecture would ask a question or raise an issue that those of us who were slightly more regular attenders hadn’t even thought of. He was also a brilliant recording secretary of the Literary and Debating Society. People went especially just to to hear Peadar read out his minute of the previous debate which was always more pithy and interesting than the debate itself. We will miss Peadar at our next class reunion.
