David (Dave) Delaney

DELANEY, David (Dave) (Clonee, Dublin 15 and formerly of Ballyfermot and the Liberties, Dublin) July 19th., 2021 passed suddenly at home (after a short illness) surrounded by his family.  Beloved husband of Joyce and much loved and devoted father of Dylan (and his beloved dog Sasha) and dear son of Patricia and the late Thomas and brother of the late Derek; sadly missed by his loving wife, son, sister-in-law Catherine, mother, brother Alan, sister Lisa, mother-in-law Joan, father-in-law Patrick, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May David’s soul rest in peace forever.

A private funeral will take place due to government advice regarding public gatherings but may be viewed online on Saturday July 24th at 10 am by following this LINK.  When the current circumstances have passed we look forward to celebrating David’s life with family and friends at a later date.

Those who would have liked to attend the funeral; but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave your personal message or condolence below.

David’s Funeral Cortège is expected to leave his residence on Saturday morning (July 24th) at 9:30am and will then proceed to the Church of The Sacred Heart of Jesus, Huntstown via Phibblestown Road, Manorfields Drive and the Ongar Distributor Road. Anyone wishing to stand along the route as a mark of respect are asked not to gather in groups and to adhere to all guidelines relating to social distancing and the wearing of face masks.

Joyce and Dylan are also asking everyone to wear bright colours or football jersey’s (Liverpool, Dublin, Celtic or Ireland) as a celebration of Dave’s life and his love of football.

Family flowers only, please, donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society.
