Michelle McCaughranFormer Colleague

Sending all the love and prayers to Jane, Ben, Katie and family circle at this sad time. I worked alongside Martin for many years with the Belfast Telegraph/Independent. He not only was a great colleague but a great friend and was always there with advice, wit and sarcasm. Feel very lucky that knew him. Martin will be greatly missed. Thinking of you all , Michelle xx

Chris HamerFriend and big fan

Martin, it was immediately obvious that you were smart & very observant of everything around you but in the ‘all too brief’ times that we met, I could also see that you were generous, supportive, kind and dedicated.
Of course, none of us are here for ever but no matter how many years we remain we have the opportunity to make a difference and you definitely succeeded in that department.
You often spoke about your family, in a lovely and positive way, so I’m absolutely sure there must have been lots of love in your home. I hate to be saying “goodbye” to you so early but your star will continue to shine for the many people who loved you and for many years
God bless you x
