Brendan Smith (Newtown, Celbridge, Co. Kildare and formerly of Jordanstown, Enfield, Co. Meath) May 20th 2023, (Peacefully) at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Elm Park, surrounded by his loving family. 

Beloved husband of Betty and dear father of Paul, Lorraine, Kathryn, Grainne and Ashling. 

Pre-deceased by his beloved brother Desmond and his beloved sister Pauline. 

Sadly missed by his devoted and loving wife, son, daughters, sons-in-law John Barrett, John Slattery and Peter Connolly, grandchildren Priscilla, Karen, Leo, Ellen, Sean, Caoimhe, Conor, Elena, Aaron, Ciara and Charlie, great-grandchildren, sisters Ann, Una and Kathleen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends. R.I.P. 

Reposing at his daughter Ashling’s residence, Newtown (Eircode W23 TWK8) on Wednesday evening (24th May) from 5pm until 8pm.

Removal to St. Anne’s Church, Ardclough on Thursday morning (25th May) arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by burial in Donacomper Cemetery, Celbridge.

Though I have not seen or spoken with you in a long time – I have however, good and fond memories of Brendan. I will light a little candle to his memory. May he rest in peace.
