Derek was an exemplary public representative who cared deeply about his community and his constituents. His humanity and decency were always foremost in even the most difficult circumstances. He was always a pleasure to deal with as everything he did was based on what was best for his community. With Derek it was always about the ‘We’ rather than the ‘Me’. Rest easy Derek.
