I heard Mary were very ill, but hoped I could visit. That was not to be. Maybe best to remember Mary as a beautiful, vibrant, funny girl who loved her family, her horses, her hockey and life. RIP

I was so sorry to hear of Marys passing. It was a pleasure to be a past pupil and to train along side her in St Wolstan’s. She was a great teacher and a wonderful colleague. I will miss our paths crossing on our walks around the town. RIP Ms Van

I knew Mary from St Wolston’s arranging hockey matches against our schools. She was a lovely lady. May she rest in peace. Catherine McCarthy

Commiserations for your very sad loss, my heart goes out to you all. Mary was a major inspiration to me when I was a pupil in St Wolstans, she encouraged me constantly to be a better person. Many an hour was spent together on a hockey pitch, some of my fondest memories in life.
The day we won the north side league will go down as one of the best, she was over the moon and we were delighted as a team to win it for her as much as ourselves. It was a testament to all her hard work with us. I hugely enjoyed the times we bumped into each other in the years after. A laugh was always guaranteed.!
Such a character that I for one will miss hugely.
May she rest in peace.
